The recent episode of the hit TV series ‘Law and Order: SVU’ might be threading on the waters of sensitivity as they try to circle around the topic of sexual exploitation of Catholic schoolgirls. On Wednesday night’s new episode of “Law & Order: SVU,” we saw the beginning of what effectively an epic two-parter regarding the Catholic church, a massive scandal, and also people suspected as being a part of a massive ring.
A lot has happened in the episode that fans are wondering what will happen next for the characters especially Benson. So here are some spoilers to satiate your curious minds.
Benson will be transferred after the incident where Barba found evidence that Tucker could be involved in the scandal which led to a stand-off with Benson over it.
Many are questioning as to where Benson will be after being transferred. In speaking to The Hollywood Reporter in a new post-show interview, executive producer Warren Leight teased up the following story with the following:
“We’ll see in episode 18, she moves into a little cubicle desk in community affairs. There’s a woman saying, ‘Oh my God, we’re all so excited to have you here. We can’t wait. We’re going to learn so much from you.’ She’s starstruck … There are all these ‘Policemen are your friend’ posters hanging on the wall. It appears to be [Benson’s] worst nightmare. It’s a little bit of a hat tip to Brooklyn Nine-Nine.”
This will need a pretty huge deal of acceptance and coping up for Benson, what with her new environment and all. But fans are still optimistic that this will only be temporary, knowing that Benson has been a great asset to the group, contributing to their success. It’s easy to imagine this nightmare ending at some point in the reasonably near future.
