Krispy Kreme is one of the food companies that never miss fun celebrations throughout the year such as Halloween. In fact, for this year, the donut chain is at it again and offering something spooky and unique to its customers.
For this year, Krispy Kreme has taken the Halloween celebration to another level as it went as far as changing its name just for the occasion. Delish reported via Yahoo Finance, that as the donut company gears up for the affair next month, it has temporarily changed its brand name to go with the theme.
With that said, the company is rebranding itself “Krispy Skreme” for now. What’s more aside from the name change, the donut chain will also offer new donut flavors featuring Halloween designs, discounts, and even free treats that are up for grabs in selected outlet stores.
Starting this week, the new donuts are already available in the Krispy Skreme stores, and these are the “Abra Cat Dabra” donut, the “Bewitched Broomstick,” the “Enchanted Cauldron” donut, and finally, the “Spooky Sprinkle” donut.
Customers who love the original glazed and chocolate flavor will enjoy the Abra Cat Dabra as it is a flavor featuring the original glazed donut dipped in chocolate icing. It is completed with black sanding sugar and embellished with fondant cat eyes.
The Enchanted Cauldron is a glazed chocolate cake donut and decorated with Kreme, sprinkles, and a pretzel. The Bewitched Broomstick is a treat dipped in purple icing and decorated with icing swirl, green buttercream, and gold stars. Lastly, the Spooky Sprinkle was described as “classic” since it is made with the original glazed donut but dipped in orange icing and completed with colorful Halloween sprinkles.
“We all deserve an incredibly great Halloween this year. So, we’re turning into Krispy Skreme for the month and scaring up some amazing Halloween doughnuts along with some spooky good deals,” Krispy Skreme’s chief marketing officer, Dave Skena, said in a press release. “Help us have fun too by coming by on Halloween in costume and we’ll give you a free doughnut!”
Finally, the Krispy Skreme Halloween donuts will offer the $1 dozen deal starting Oct. 16 and every Saturday after that. This promotion will allow customers to get $1 per dozen with the purchase of any dozen, and this will be offered until supplies last.
