“Kaguya-sama: Love Is War” season 2 is finally arriving in a few weeks. The anime adaptation will deliver more awkward and adorable moments between Miyuki and Kaguya while also introducing a set of new supporting characters.
‘Kaguya-sama: Love Is War’ season 2 characters
One of the biggest changes in “Kaguya-sama: Love Is War” season 2 is the lineup of characters that viewers will often see. In season 1, most of the screen time was dedicated to Kaguya and Miyuki, as well as Chika and Yu, focused on their day-to-day activities working as student council officers.
“Kaguya-sama: Love Is War” season 2 will still feature these characters most of the time with the addition of a couple of new faces. Anime fans may recall Miko Iino and Kobachi Osaragi in their respective cameo appearances in season 1. But their arrival is one of the first and biggest announcements about season 2 hinting they will share more scenes with the four main characters.
‘Kaguya-sama: Love Is War’ season 2 plot
The arrival of Miko in “Kaguya-sama: Love Is War” season 2 is significant for the upcoming plots. As fans may have noticed in the first trailers, Miyuki’s position as the president of the student council will be challenged. And that is mainly because of Miko’s candidacy. It is going to be interesting how Kaguya reacts to this, especially since Miyuki’s loss in the election would mean she will no longer spend much time with him.
Note that Miko is not a villain in “Kaguya-sama: Love Is War” season 2. In fact, she will later become part of the student council without defeating Miyuki and will also become one of the close characters to Yu.
‘Kaguya-sama: Love Is War’ season 2 release date, production
A-1 Pictures is still the studio that will produce “Kaguya-sama: Love Is War” season 2 and the same team from season 1 also comes back to work on the anime. This means fans can expect the same animation quality and pacing they loved enough that permitted the show to be renewed for a second season. “Kaguya-sama: Love Is War” season 2 will be released on April 11.
