Jungkook, the famous member of the South Korean boy band, BTS, was revealed to have been involved in a car accident that happened last week. Big Hit Entertainment, the idol singer’s agency confirmed that the reports are true.
The news stories about Jungkook shocked many fans because this seems to be a serious problem. Big Hit also released its official statement to let fans know what really happened and to ease their worries.
The details of the accident and investigation
Based on the agency’s statement, Jungkook’s car accident case is still being investigated. The authorities have not closed the case yet, so they could not share the exact details of the road mishap.
But then, they affirmed that it was Jungkook who was driving when the accident happened. The agency also noted that the incident is a minor one, and no one was hurt.
BTS member admitted his mistake
It was reported that Jungkook acknowledged that he was at fault when the collision happened. According to BBC News, at that time, the 22-year-old was driving along Hannam in Seoul, and he hit a taxi. The youngest member of BTS was questioned by the police on the spot, and both the involved parties participated accordingly.
"The scene of the accident was resolved, and police questioning was completed according to the due process, and an amicable settlement was made with the victim afterwards,” the publication quoted Big Hit rep as saying. "We once again apologize to the victim, and we also express apologies for causing concern to fans."
Meanwhile, despite the accident, Jungkook continues to work and fulfill his work schedules. He recently appeared on a show with the rest of the BTS members, and he revealed that his mixtape is coming up soon.
Finally, Jungkook mentioned that his new songs were a bit delayed because he recorded all over again after finishing it. He did not reveal why he had to re-record the songs but assured his fans that they are on the way. As for BTS, they are likely to release a new track or even an album as well, and their new promotion will begin.
