Anyone who has seen the second installment of Amazon Prime Video’s take on “Jack Ryan” is likely wondering whether or not Mike November (Michael Kelly) will return. Plot details of “Jack Ryan” season 3 may still be hidden from the public, but the latest episodes provide enough reason for fans to hope Kelly would reprise the role.
‘Jack Ryan’ season 3 cast
Mike became the sorely needed ally for Jack as season 2 was a very emotional ride for the titular protagonist. His good friend, Sen. Jim Moreno (Benito Martinez), was assassinated and James Greer (Wendell Pierce) later got captured by the enemies. It would have been easy for Jack to do something very reckless that he cannot take back had Mike not been with him throughout season 2.
“It was a respect and a friendship and a trust that was built over the season,” executive producer Allyson Seeger said about Mike and Jack’s tandem in “Jack Ryan” season 3. “It’s kind of a great moment to know that he went out on a limb to make sure Jack gets to keep being Jack.”
Additionally, there was Greer’s pronouncement of being done in joining Jack in the field. All these turns of events from the second installment have but one suggestion. There is a very good reason for Mike November to return in “Jack Ryan” season 3.
In a recent interview, Kelly told Gold Derby that he did sign for just one season prior to working on the show’s second installment. He added, however, that he has knowledge of what the plans are for “Jack Ryan” season 3 but maintained that he cannot talk about whether or not he will come back.
‘Jack Ryan’ season 3 release date
Amazon has ordered “Jack Ryan” season 3 last year, but it does not seem like the new episodes are arriving anytime soon. The situation with the COVID-19 pandemic suggests that the show has not started filming for new episodes yet.
The first batches of eight episodes took over a year to make in the past. “Jack Ryan” season 3 is then very likely to premiere in 2021 instead of this year.
