The drought in new chapters of “Hunter X Hunter” has been going on for months now and no one knows yet when it will end. Luckily, the anime series will once again be offered on Netflix offering fans a good way to endure this hiatus.
ComicBook reports that “Hunter X Hunter” will officially return to Netflix on March 8. But this schedule probably only pertains to other regions, including the United States, because the anime series is already available for subscribers in other parts of the world (see photo below).

“Hunter X Hunter” had two anime series premieres the first and original version in 1999 based on four manga arcs. A reboot was launched in 2011 with 148 installments and covered two more arcs. Note that the one arriving on Netflix next week is the 2011 remake.
Meanwhile, the early availability of “Hunter X Hunter” on non-U.S. subscribers confirms that all 148 episodes of the 2011 anime series will be offered. The installments are split up to five seasons.
“Hunter X Hunter” season 1 on Netflix is composed of 26 episodes chronicling the Hunter Exam arc. It is followed by 12 episodes of the Heavens Arena arc and then 20 episodes covering the Phantom Troupe Arc. Season 4 has 17 episodes focused on the Green Island arc.
On Netflix, the “Hunter X Hunter” season 5 combines a total of 73 episodes. This composed of the Chimera Ant arc with 61 episodes and the Election arc with 12 installments.
This is not the first time “Hunter X Hunter” is coming to Netflix. The anime series was available on the streaming platform a few years ago and then removed in 2017. Netflix has apparently been beefing up its anime lineup. And for fans, “Hunter X Hunter” is a great addition considering that another indefinite break is in place.
Series creator Yoshihiro Togashi confirmed there will be another “Hunter X Hunter” manga hiatus that started last November. He did not announce an official return date but promised fans that he had already completed storyboards for the next 10 chapters.
