‘Homeland’ season 6’s episode 12, titled “America First,” will feature Carrie as she works to protect President Keane, whose life is in danger. Meanwhile, it seems that Quinn may be framed for an assassination attempt on the President of the United States.
The synopsis for “America First” posted on TV Guide doesn’t give much away as it only reads, “Season 6 ends as pieces fall into place.”
The season finale of Showtime’s political drama-thriller television series starring Claire Danes as CIA case officer Carrie Mathison promises to deliver an action-packed conclusion. According to TVLine, it seems that Elizabeth Keane (Elizabeth Marvel) has officially been stated as the new United States President as hinted in the promo.
Keane’s life will be place in imminent danger after the White House experiences a breach in security. In one scene from the trailer, Carrie and Keane are seen in an elevator with worried expressions on their faces. Carrie then proceeds to stop the elevator to which Keane asks, “What the hell are you doing?”
Carrie replies, “They’re jamming all signals… we’re in a kill zone.” By the end of the promo, the elevator door opens and Carrie is confronted by an armed man who proceeds to point a gun to their heads.
The promo also hints that Quinn (Rupert Friend) will be framed by the military for attempting to assassinate President Keane. It seems that some authorities are determined to catch Quinn as they continuously monitor his every move during a rally. One of the soldiers is then seen on the phone as he orders his men to take Quinn out.
Meanwhile, Dar (F. Murray Abraham) will also proceed to interrogate a senator he has seemingly kidnapped. In one scene, Dar splashes a bucket of water on the senator who is tied up and stripped down to his underwear.
‘Homeland’ season 6’s episode 12, titled “America First,” is scheduled to air on Showtime on April 9, 2017. It was directed by Lesli Linka Glatter and written by Alex Gansa and Ron Nyswaner.
