Gwen Stefani might have the best response to a recent report that she and Blake Shelton are facing some “obstacles” in their relationship. The former No Doubt vocalist greeted her beau with a simple but sweet message to celebrate Valentine’s Day.
Stefani reminds Shelton he is one of her “favorite” persons along with greeting him a happy Valentine’s Day on Thursday through Instagram. However, the couple will not be spending the special day together as confirmed by Stefani in a following social media post.
Shelton opened his Friends and Heroes 2019 tour on Thursday at the Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City. Stefani wished him luck and said in the caption, “Wish we were there.” But the duo spent time together the prior weekend and was spotted while making their way to a church on Sunday.
Stefani’s Valentine’s Day greeting came shortly after a source of Us Weekly said the couple has “obstacles they have to deal with.” The entertainment magazine reported that Stefani and Shelton are having some difficulties in settling their living arrangements. The “The Voice” coach reportedly maintains a residence in Oklahoma and has been traveling to Los Angeles where the “Hollaback Girl” singer and her three sons live.
“Gwen and Blake met with her priest for a counseling session,” the source added. However, the same report does not imply that the issue is causing a major strain in the relationship of Stefani and Shelton. In fact, they are purportedly “on the path to getting married.”
The couple has been rumored engaged, or even married, for years. But Gossip Cop debunked this reports and quoted Stefani’s spokesperson saying they are pretending that publications and blogs running these stories “don’t exist.”
In 2015, representatives of Stefani and Shelton confirmed that two are officially dating. Before their relationship status was announced, they both have just finalized their divorce proceedings from fellow music artists Gavin Rossdale and Miranda Lambert.
