In an exciting culinary development, Gordon Ramsay is set to open his first Street Pizza outlet in Southeast Asia at Sunway Resort Hotel, Kuala Lumpur's Sunway City. This British celebrity chef's renowned eatery, famed for its unlimited sourdough pizzas, promises a rich dining experience and is expected to launch in Q3 2023.
The restaurant, situated in a "prime position" in the Sunway Pyramid retail mall, is directly connected via an air-conditioned corridor to the newly-renovated Sunway Resort Hotel.
Street Pizza, established in London in 2018, is famous for its unlimited sourdough pizzas with various toppings and sides, including hot wings, dirty fries, and cocktails. With urban art, live music, and big screens playing sports games, the restaurant has a lively atmosphere to keep diners entertained. Guests can enjoy a seamless experience using the restaurant's mobile app.
Senior GM of Sunway City Kuala Lumpur Hotels, Alex Castaldi, said they expect Gordon Ramsay's Street Pizza brand to become a favorite among residents and tourists.
He added that Malaysians love pizza, and Street Pizza offers pizza without rules. It's not just about the awesome food. It's also the vibe.
Indeed, with its expansion in the UK, Dubai, Seoul, and Doha - and set to open in Washington DC later this year - this is part of the chef's vision to have a Street Pizza on every corner of the world.
The debut of Street Pizza in Kuala Lumpur follows the successful opening of Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill in Malaysia in 2022, where he showcases his iconic dishes, such as the classic Beef Wellington. This exciting news reinforces Malaysia's culinary scene as a must-visit destination for food lovers worldwide!
But that's not all! Earlier this year, the Michelin-starred chef had already announced the debut of the Street Burger restaurant in the Hyundai Department Store in southern Seoul. Stay tuned for more updates on what's next from this innovative culinary king!
