Domino’s Pizza announced that it will open another 180 new stores this year and 240 next year after debuting in Qingdao, Changzhou, and Wenzhou on the same day last week.
The openings pushed the store count in China to 638 as of April 30.
DPC Dash, the master franchise of Domino’s Pizza, had a successful Hong Kong IPO in March.
According to Frank Paul Krasovec, director, and chairman at DPC Dash, the newly raised proceeds prompt them to aggressively expand across the greater China region and to bring their products to hundreds of millions of Chinese consumers.
When DPC Dash established its first location in Jinan in December, it set new records for both the best opening sales for the first week and the best opening sales month for the first 30 days for Domino’s worldwide.
The top four trading stores in Domino’s global network are new locations opened by DPC Dash in Jinan, Chengdu, and Wuhan during the past five months.
DPC Dash says the new Domino’s Pizza stores emphasize online channels through delivery and carryout services, which it believes it can replicate in other markets in China.
