Although it will be months before fans will get to see Season 7 of HBO’s “Game of Thrones,” author George RR Martin may have already something in writing to tide over.
CNET reports that Martin is currently writing a short story that’s set in “Westeros” to “Book of Swords.” The short story, based from an Amazon.com blurb, read that the short story will be included in the fifteen original tales in “Book of Swords.”
Moreover, Martin himself assured fans that "The Winds of Winter," the sixth book in his epic fantasy series, is expected to hit shelves this year.
"Not done yet, but I've made progress. But not as much as I hoped a year ago, when I thought to be done by now. I think it will be out this year. (But hey, I thought the same thing last year)," Martin responded after a super fan politely asked him when will the sixth book be finished.
Meanwhile, Uproxx reported that Season 7 of “Game of Thrones” might pull a “Walking Dead” cliffhanger, if we’re looking at Arya’s (Maisie Williams) story arc. It is to note that in the show, Arya has started avenging for her family by murdering Walder Frey.
When asked by Time Out London about Season 7, the spoiler-averse star said, “It’s just kind of tumbling now. We’ve come to the climax and it’s rolling down to the end… I really felt like at the end of last season everything was set up for how it was going to end. Every character came to a little junction in their lives. Now we’re all going to crash down together to however this show ends… A huge cliffhanger.”
