Is Jaime Lannister out of his sister Cersei’s picture? Although it sounds creepy to associate them both as lovers, the actor who plays the other half of the incestuous siblings almost revealed a very important detail about the Lannisters’ romance come Season 7 of “Game of Thrones.”
Nikolaj Coster-Waldau told The Daily Beast that aside from the Iron Throne, it was suggested that Cersei (well played by Lena Headey), might have another “apple of her eye.”
When asked about his role in the upcoming season, he said, “[Jaime] knows about people’s weaknesses and loving someone unconditionally — because he loves his sister unconditionally. Plus, there are no other suitors. Well, that’s not true… but he has to step up and take his father’s place. Wow, I was about to reveal something from Season 7 and thought, “What am I doing?””
Buzzfeed said a popular fan theory points to Euron Greyjoy (Pilou Asbæk), who is known for his iconic "build me a thousand ships" line. Moreover, as Daenarys (Emilia Clarke) has already accepted Yara (Gemma Whelan) and Theon Greyjoy (Alfie Allen), it is mostly likely that Euron would offer his services, including those on the carnal side, to Cersei.
Bustle said Jaime’s predicament only gets worse with his purported feelings for Brienne of Tarth (Gwendoline Christie), who will most likely swear allegiance to the Starks, who are set to unite with Daenarys. Jaime will then face a dilemma - whether to stand with his sister, who will most likely descend further to the dark side with Euron, or switch allegiance with brother Tyrion (Peter Dinklage) and Daenarys, who are both in cohorts to bring down Cersei.
Season 7 of “Game of Thrones” will premiere on July 16, on HBO.
