The cast and crew of “Fuller House” season 4 are naturally tight-lipped about what’s coming next for the Netflix series. But if there is one thing that is definitely happening, it is the love team that many fans have been anticipating in the past three seasons.
This love team is obviously between D.J. (Candace Cameron Bure) and Steve (Scott Weinger). There has been a romantic tension between these characters for the last three seasons but nothing has ever led to them becoming an official couple. Luckily, that is going to change in “Fuller House” season 4.
D.J. and Steve’s love storyline for “Fuller House” season 4 was previously confirmed by Bure. The actress recognized that the first three seasons of these characters were filled with uncertainties when it came to them being together in a loving relationship. But in an earlier interview with E! News, Bure announced, “DJ and Steve are together.” And, yes, the actress was certainly referring to “Fuller House” season 4.
“There's no back and forth in [‘Fuller House’ season 4], so she's with Steve and made that decision. I like watching and I hope the fans enjoy actually watching that relationship develop more,” Bure added.
While this is very good news among fans who'd love to see D.J. and Steve together, the storyline is not going to be the biggest highlight in “Fuller House” season 4. This is also the reason why even though this is a huge deal for the series plot, Bure felt it was okay to confirm it even before Netflix announces a “Fuller House” season 4 air date. In the same interview, Bure revealed that the actual focus of “Fuller House” season 4 is Kimmy’s (Andrea Barber) pregnancy.
As mentioned, Netflix has not yet announced when “Fuller House” season 4 will start streaming on the platform. However, there are speculations that it could be released as soon as October 2018 or as late as early 2019.
