American fast food giant, Five Guys commemorates a decade in the UK with the launch of its second 'checkerboard' collection. Echoing the iconic red-and-white tiles of its restaurants, the line showcases premium clothing and accessories worn by the brand's own staff.
Featuring an array of items, including long and short sleeve T-shirts, sliders, sunglasses, a reversible bucket hat, checkerboard summer co-ords, and more, the collection maintains the premium quality Five Guys is known for. Each item has been meticulously selected for its comfort, durability, and overall feel.
What sets this collection apart is the brand's dedication to fresh produce. To showcase this commitment, the clothing was modeled by restaurant personnel and photographed at one of the farms where Five Guys source its potatoes.
Paul Hamilton, Brand and Customer Director at Five Guys expressed his enthusiasm for the collection, stating, "After the successful launch of our first merch drop, we wanted to give Five Guys fans the opportunity to incorporate their love for the brand into their everyday outfits."
The fashion-forward can choose to incorporate the checkerboard print into their caps or hoodies or go all out with the full-on chequered reversible bucket hat and co-ord set. Unsurprisingly, celebrities like Derek Chisora have already embraced the Five Guys merch wagon from the first collection.
Following in the footsteps of Greggs, Five Guys is the latest fast food brand to venture into the fashion world. Greggs, known for its 'sausage roll' chic, launched its own apparel collection, gaining popularity when celebrities like Kate Beckinsale and Nadia Sawalha sported the stylish pieces.
Greggs' collaboration with Primark, featuring bucket hats, bumbags, cycling shorts, and hoodies, was a hit when it dropped last summer. The first collection, released in February 2022, sold for three times its original price on eBay within a week.
The success of these fast-food fashion collaborations can be attributed to the genuine love for brands like Greggs and Five Guys. As consumers, we continue to celebrate our favorite food and fashion in unique and exciting ways.
