The Barceló Hotel Group has renovated and will operate the Royal Hideaway Hotel Canfranc Estación, an almost century-old station that has been declared a Site of Cultural Interest.
It wasvinitially inaugurated by Alfonso XIII in 1928.
The Aragon government, which has spent a total of 15.3 million euros on the building's renovation since 2016, will remain to own the hotel location even if Barceló will run and manage it.
The hotel will include 104 rooms, including four opulent suites on the first and second floors, three restaurants, and two bars.
The restaurants will be installed in two carriages that have been renovated in the classic style of 20th-century trains.
The ground floor will also include a wellness area with a heated pool and a library.
