‘Chicago Med’ season 2’s episode 11, titled “Graveyard Shift,” is set to follow Dr. Sarah Reese as she struggles with difficulties during the shift. Meanwhile, Dr. Rhodes will need to operate on an unusual patient.
The synopsis for “Graveyard Shift” posted on TV Guide reads, “A long night on the graveyard shift proves difficult for Dr. Reese (Rachel DiPillo). Meanwhile, April (Yaya DaCosta) gets called in to work and is pressured to slow down by Tate (Deron J. Powell); Dr. Charles (Mekia Cox) passes along vital news; and Dr. Rhodes (Colin Donnell) must operate on a mystery patient.”
Things haven’t been easy for Dr. Sarah Reese as of late as she had to struggle with the challenges imposed by her psychiatric expertise. She may be learning to come to terms with being emotionally invested in her work. It seems that a looming graveyard shift at Chicago Med would prove to be difficult as she must be the one to pronounce the deaths of patients on more than one occasion.
Meanwhile, April will be called in for night shift to the dismay of Tate. He then pressures her into slowing down for her sake. Dr. Charles will also be the bearer of some vital news to Dr. Latham (Ato Essandoh) and Goodwin (S. Epatha Merkerson).
According to Cartermatt, Dr. Charles will also task Dr. Rhodes to work on an unusual case. According to International Business Times, the patient would be a diplomat. It seems that Dr. Rhodes’ case will be one of the main highlights of the episode.
The promo for episode 11 opened to chief of services Dr. Goodwin warning that a bad surgery could become an international incident. Dr. Ethan Choi (Brian Tee) then reassures her that they should just treat the patient just like any other.
However, Goodwin replies, “But clearly she isn’t.” The team will have to do their best to keep the mystery patient alive during surgery or risk an impending diplomatic crisis.
‘Chicago Med’ season 2’s episode 11, titled “Graveyard Shift,” is scheduled to air on NBC on January 19, 2017. It will be followed by episode 12, titled "Mirror Mirror," scheduled for February 2.
