Taylor Kinney plays Severide in NBC's 'Chicago Fire'

‘Chicago Fire’ season 5’s episode 18, titled “Take A Knee,” will feature the return of Severide’s father, Benny. Meanwhile, Herrmann will struggle with his own family problems when his son Lee gets in trouble at school. Casey, on the other hand, will also discover a new crack house that is hiding a female drug addict.

The synopsis for “Take A Knee” posted on TV Guide reads, “Casey (Jesse Spencer) discovers a new crack house on the block that's harboring a female junkie; Dawson (Monica Raymund) and Brett (Kara Killmer) are assigned a new trainee for the shift; Severide's (Taylor Kinney) father unexpectedly visits; and Herrmann (David Eigenberg) deals with family issues involving his son.”

According to Cartermatt, the upcoming episode is set to feature the return of Treat Williams as Lieutenant Kelly Severide’s father Benny. It remains unclear whether Severide and Benny’s reunion will be a happy one.
