Have you seen the trailer for the third Captain America film? Well, if you missed the episode of 'Jimmy Kimmel: Live!', where they dropped some major bomb by being the first to show the trailer then here’s the link and watch:
Finished? Good, now let's start analyzing this 2 minute and 30 seconds of wonder. Watch out though, spoilers are lurking.
The trailer started with the scene shown in the after credits of the movie Ant Man, where Captain America asks Buck (Winter Soldier) if he remembers him. And the good news is, he does! We all know the story of Buck being the Winter Soldier wreaking havoc to the Avengers and the city making him a fugitive, and now authorities are on the lookout for him. Even with him being guilty of these crimes, it seems though that the captain and the Falcon (Anthony Mackie) are standing by with him.
On the next scene was General "Thunderbolt" Ross making an appearance which elicits excitement to his fans and it seemed as though Ross is mad at the star spangled hero for "...operating with unlimited power, and no supervision...". This might mean that Captain Rogers is now considered a vigilante and a threat to the society and the government is trying to deploy him as shown in the next frames where The Sokovia Accords, a Superhero Registration Act that keeps heroes in line with the government, is displayed. Of which Iron Man strongly agrees and the captain, not so much. This lead to scenes showing jam packed actions and fight scenes from both sides and finally ended with Iron Man dealing with Captain America and Bucky where Stark is faced with a two against one fight.
Exciting, isn't it? The trailer did not gave away that much (a good thing actually) although there was a new character shown in the video, the Black Panther, which definitely is not on Team Bucky-Captain America. Let's end with that and fuel those curiosity tanks as we wait for 'Captain America: Civil War' which will be out in theaters May 6, 2016.
