‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ season 4’s episode 11 and 12 will be titled “The Fugitive” and will feature the team as they work on capturing escaped convicts. NFL pro Marshawn Lynch is set to make an appearance in the incoming episodes as a prime witness to the case.
According to Heavy, the American police sitcom is set to return on Fox following its mid-season break with episodes 11 and 12, titled “The Fugitive.” The mid-season premiere will be an hour long special and is expected to return on the network on January 1, 2017 but may be delayed due to the NFL.
The synopsis for episode 11 posted on TV Guide reads, “Part 1 of 2. Several convicts escape from a prison van, sending the entire squad on a manhunt throughout Brooklyn; Marshawn Lynch is the only key witness; and Jake (Andy Samberg) and Amy (Melissa Fumero) place a bet on who can capture the most inmates.” Meanwhile, episode 12’s synopsis reads, Conclusion. “Jake enlists a surprising ally to catch the last fugitive.”
It seems that the team will have a lot on their hands in the incoming episodes as they would have to round up a number of escaped convicts. It doesn’t come as a surprise that Jake and Amy would turn their mission into a game as they compete with capturing the most escapees.
According to Variety, NFL pro Marshawn Lynch is set to play himself in the first episode of the two-part special as he takes on the important role of witness to the whole convict debacle. The 30-year old is a former American football running back who played for the Buffalo Bills and the Seattle Seahawks.
In the episode, Lynch will be taken into the precinct for questioning after he witnesses a convicts escaping from a prison van. However, this would pose a challenge for Jake and Terry (Terry Crews) as to how much information they can get out of him considering his record with the press.
‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ season 4’s episode 11 and 12, entitled “The Fugitive,” is scheduled to air on Fox on January 1, 2017.
