There is no question that the explosive fight against Isshiki will fully start in “Boruto” chapter 50. However, fans should be reminded of one thing and that is Isshiki’s more concerned about retrieving Kawaki as soon as possible. It would be interesting to see how this will affect the direction of the upcoming battle.
‘Boruto’ chapter 50 predictions: Isshiki doesn’t have much time to retrieve Kawaki
When Isshiki has taken over Jigen’s body completely, the manga explicitly mentioned that the vessel only has a few days to contain the Otsutsuki’s power. Because even if Isshiki managed to overwrite Jigen, the latter is still not the perfect vessel -- it is still Kawaki. This explains why Isshiki was direct about looking for Kawaki when he arrived in Konoha and fighting Naruto, Sasuke, and Boruto in “Boruto” chapter 50 is just a mere detour.
However, manga fans are not new to seeing a few days of battle get stretched into numerous chapters. It is then possible for the fight in “Boruto” chapter 50 to just be the tip of the iceberg. But as Isshiki promised at the last panel of chapter 49, “Inferior creatures... You’ll regret this soon enough.” It could be foreshadowing that the villain would finish the job quickly and get back to Konoha to retrieve Kawaki.
Will Isshiki abandon the fight to get to Kawaki?
Isshiki is not the type to abandon a fight, as he has demonstrated in his previous encounter with Naruto and Sasuke, and the more recent fight with Kashin Koji. But his vessel has a time limit, and it is also difficult to rule out the possibility that he would choose to be smarter and leave the fight early just to continue searching for Kawaki.
It is also important to note that Isshiki seemed worried when Boruto activated his karma at will and opened a portal to move the battle away from Konoha. Isshiki, looking at little irritated in the illustrations, wondered how much or Momoshiki’s karma and power can Boruto use. So, this is one more factor to consider when speculating how the fight could go down in “Boruto” chapter 50.
‘Boruto’ chapter 50 release date will be a little early than usual
The good news is “Boruto” chapter 50 will be released earlier than usual. Some months, the VJump issue arrives in stores on the 18th, instead of the 20th, so it also means an early release date for worldwide fans. Chapter 50 will be available on Sept. 18 with the official translations for free on Manga Plus and Viz Media’s Shonen Jump page.
