The Clover Kingdom is dealing with another unfamiliar called the Devil Believers, and “Black Clover” episode 146 is likely to reveal more about them. Judging by the group’s name and their objective in infiltrating the country, its members may have been sent by the Spade Kingdom.

Black Bulls were able to rescue Marie from being executed by the Devil Banishers. However, it later became apparent that the group and its leader were only used by another group called the Devil Believers. From Kabwa’s information, Julius deduced that Asta’s grimoire may have been the real target all along.
“Black Clover” episode 146 will pick up from the mess caused by Kabwa’s group that led to the Devil Believers escaping with Asta’s grimoire while they still hold Secre as a prisoner. This is one plausible outcome since the current arc, though anime-original, carries a canon plot that fills in the events before the manga’s six-month timeskip.
