“Black Clover” episode 116 is right around the corner, and it will be a good note for the series to begin 2020 with considering the amount of action this installment will have. One of the highlights in this episode is a confrontation between Asta and Patolli. It encapsulates how the elves and humans can understand each other – a concept that has been repeatedly mentioned in this story arc.
‘Black Clover’ episode 116 spoilers: Patolli is convinced to fight with the humans vs. the Devil
Before this Asta and Patolli sequence, they will have to neutralize the latter who has been transformed into a dark elf by the Devil. Asta and Yuno try their best to fight Patolli, but even with Black Asta, they are immediately overpowered. Luckily, Nozel will arrive in “Black Clover” episode 116 and explains that his Mercury affinity makes him the best mage to defeat Patolli. Nozel will emerge victoriously, but he will attempt to kill Patolli totally.
Asta and Yuno protest to the idea with the latter insisting that Patolli is using William Vengeance’s body. Asta uses his Demon Destroyer Sword to bring William back, but a huge amount of anti-magic containing Patolli’s memories, feelings, and thoughts will overwhelm the member of the Black Bulls. This will eventually bring Asta deep within the consciousness of Patolli in “Black Clover” episode 116.
Asta finds the elf sitting in a chair and facing a sleeping William in “Black Clover” episode 116. Patolli is severely dejected and struggles with what to feel about humans. Asta screams at him all his transgressions, including killing Julius Novachrono and killing innocent people in the Clover Kingdom.
Asta tells Patolli in “Black Clover” episode 116 that he can never be forgiven for all those things, but he also cannot just give up after all his wrong decisions. He declares he is going to be the Wizard King, so he will not give up on the elves, too. The Magic Knight reiterates he needs to continue fighting and try all that he can until the end. Patolli will be convinced he should join the efforts to stop the Devil ultimately.
‘Black Clover’ episode 116 preview, release date
A preview of “Black Clover” episode 116 suggests that it will cover the part where the Devil reaches the top of the Shadow Palace. He will be met with Licht (not fully awakened yet), who tries to stop him.
Charla, in Charlotte Roselei’s body, appears shortly before Yami arrives. Together, they will try to stop the Devil. However, the enemy is too strong even for this duo. “Black Clover” episode 116 will be released on Tuesday, Jan. 7.
