“Better Call Saul” season 5 is finally coming really soon, and it was revealed that this is already the penultimate installment. As previously posted, this will show the start of Jimmy McGill’s transformation to his “Breaking Bad” persona as Saul Goodman.
This means that McGill will not be the kind person that “BCS” fans came, but rather, he will be leaning on the bad side now. As this will be the turn of events in “Better Call Saul” season 5, the story is fast catching up with the “Breaking Bad” series, and it will not be long when their story timelines meet.
Season 6 announcement
In fact, it was revealed that “Better Call Saul” season 6 has been renewed already, and it will be the last chapter. Apparently, they have reached the end as McGill transforms; thus, the drama is ending.
AMC announced via the Television Critics’ Association (TCA) Press Tour last month that ordered new episodes for season 6. After “Better Call Saul” season 5, the finale with 13 episodes is set to be released in 2021.
“From day one of ‘Better Call Saul,’ my dream was to tell the complete story of our complicated and compromised hero, Jimmy McGill,” Peter Gould, the showrunner and executive producer of the series, said in a statement. “Next month we start work on the sixth and final season, and we’re going to do our damnedest to stick the landing.”
AMC president of entertainment, Sarah Barnett, also said that renewing “Better Call Saul” season 6 is a good decision and has been one of the most rewarding. The president of Sony Pictures, Jeff Frost, also stated that while it is sad that the show is ending, everyone is excited to see how the showrunners will conclude the story.
“Greenlighting a prequel to one of the most iconic series in television history is one of the boldest swings that AMC has ever taken,” Barnett remarked. “But, thanks to the creative genius of Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould, it has also been one of the most rewarding.”
Premiere episode synopsis and air date
In any case, “Better Call Saul” season 5 has been titled “Magic Man,” and as per the Breaking Bad Fandom, its synopsis reads: “Now doing business as Saul Goodman, Jimmy unveils an unorthodox strategy for client development that tests Kim's tolerance of his new legal persona.”
Also, Lalo Salamanca investigates a mysterious individual named Michael, but he discovered a problem with his own undertaking. Meanwhile, “Better Call Saul” season 5 will be back starting Feb. 23 at 10 p.m., followed by the second episode on Feb. 24. The third story will air on its regular programming timeslot at 9 p.m. on AMC.
