The Document Center was rebuilt from the ground up, to help IT and finance better manage contracts, network diagrams, scope-of-work documents and project plans. Users can customize views to see their files based on role and job function. The new interface features drag & drop and folder nesting options.
The Dashboard has also been updated to provide a comprehensive analysis of IT spend data for wireline, mobile, collaboration and cloud expenses within one view. Quick links have been added to invoices pending approval in the Invoice Approval Workflow.
vCom is continually improving the shopping experience, adding greater functionality to the Quote Manager module. The latest enhancements such as automated live-pricing are now available with access to more than hundreds of service providers coming later this year. Features also include customizable price request sheets and improved price management grids.
"IT and finance users have full plates," said Sameer Hilal, COO, vCom. "Our goal is to ensure that we put information at their fingertips, and always implement tools that enable them to be more efficient." With that in mind, cost management is now easier for those in finance. vCom's powerful platform already allows customers to download an AP Posting file by GL Code or Cost Center, that matches their ERP's import requirements. "Version 7.1 simplifies the process of associating an IT asset to a cost center further improving the cost allocation process," continued Hilal.
Other enhancements include customer-designated asset custom fields and a new vendor management option for centralized management of provider timelines and updates. A detailed overview of vManager enhancements can be found at vcomsolutions.com/vmanager-7-1.
"We strive to improve our users' experience with each vManager release. Our mission is to improve an organization's visibility into its network, mobile, cloud and collaboration technologies leveraging a single platform to improve IT spend control. Coupled with our comprehensive managed services, we believe our IT lifecycle management model is a truly revolutionary offering for today's smart enterprises," stated Gary Storm, CEO, vCom.
