One of the biggest and latest updates on “eFootball PES 2020” is the Data Pack 2.0 that has been released for a week now. To video game fans who have not explored it yet, they might want to take a closer look at Lionel Messi’s and Arturo Vidal’s tattoos.

'eFootball PES 2020' gameplay: What’s in Data Pack 2.0?

Konami has been drumming up the excitement over the release of Data Pack 2.0 for a while before it officially launched last Oct. 24. Aside from new players, the update also brings in image enhancements on some players included in the “eFootball PES 2020” rosters.

The Data Pack 2.0 has issued several player face updates that, generally, improve certain details on the athletes’ animation in “eFootball PES 2020.” As for FC Barcelona, Konami confirmed that it had issued changes on the tattoos of Messi and Vidal.

It was not specified in the release notes what were the changes applied to the players’ tattoos. But judging based on the “eFootball PES 2020” demo trailer released last July and the promotional photo for Data Pack 2.0, Messi’s tattoo noticeably got an upgrade in the details along with more vivid colors.

Aside from Messi and Vidal, other FC Barcelona players, namely Ansu Fati, Carles Pérez, Jean-Clair Todibo, and Iñaki Peña, were also listed as having received updates through Data Pack 2.0. Several changes are also applied to other “eFootball PES 2020” partner franchises.

Manchester United gets additional Legends players, namely Andrew Cole and Dwight Yorke. Players of Juventus, including Cristiano Ronaldo, Paulo Dybala, and Aaron Ramsey, received player face updates, too. FC Bayern München in “eFootball PES 2020” gets two new legends in the roster, Andrew Cole and Dwight Yorke.

'eFootball PES 2020' updates applied on Master League mode

Konami has also discreetly changed some details in the Master League section of the “eFootball PES 2020” page. The update does not change any gameplay element, but Konami wanted to be more accurate in advertising what it is offering on Master League, specifically in the “Improved Manager Models” option.

The removed the statement, “Create an avatar in your own image, or something entirely different — the choice is yours.” Also, instead of promising video game fans of having a “greater level of freedom” in customizing manager models, Konami now only says “eFootball PES 2020” “offers you a greater variety of Manager models to choose from.”
