Plenty of video games have been turned into movies recently, with more already on the way. With the recently launched live-action trailer for “Dishonored 2,” Bethesda is basically offering a glimpse of what a full movie production of the title would look like. Based on the video’s comments section, the fans are absolutely hyped.
Bethesda is known for creating some of the best, high-production live-action trailers for its games. The studio gave the phenomenal “Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim” the same treatment, as it did with 2015’s “Fallout 4.” This time around, the legendary company is fueling the hype fire in the bellies of fans who are waiting for the release of “Dishonored 2” in the same way, Polygon reports.
The trailer mostly focuses on Empress Emily Kaldwin, who is one of the playable characters in the game. A witch stole her rightful place as ruler, which set her on the path to retake what was taken from her. The dialogue in the video also seems to emphasize that her enemies never thought Emily could hold her own in a fight instead of just relying on her protector, Corvo.
Looking at the video, it’s almost too easy to mistake the characters as digital figures created via advanced CGI technology, but they are actually flesh and blood people. Even so, they did a phenomenal job at showcasing the potential of the game if brought to the big screen as well as providing cosplayers with great ideas in terms of costumes.
The game is set to come out on November 11th, Engadget reports, and seems to put a lot more emphasis on freedom and choices. In the first Dishonored game, players were given an astonishing number of options when it came to finishing it. For the sequel, gamers will not only be able to approach missions in more ways, they are also given more tools with which to accomplish those missions.
