Senior Lecturer in Sports Development, University of Hertfordshire
Claire is a Senior Lecturer in Sports Development at the University of Hertfordshire in the UK. Before this, she was a Lecturer in Sports Management at Victoria University in Australia.
She has recently completed a PhD at Victoria University in Australia, in partnership with Australia Sport, examining why older adults may or may not participate in sport. Post PhD research projects have included leading an evaluation of a walking basketball programme for older adults, for Basketball Victoria in Australia.
Other research interests include sport for social change and international sport for development.
Prior to entering academia, Claire was a Regional Sport and Community Development Manager in London, UK and has worked on sport for development projects in Zambia on behalf of UK Sport.
