An expert in the Middle East and North Africa and in EU foreign policy, Andrea is Senior Lecturer at the University of Aberdeen where he teaches in Middle Eastern politics and political theory. Andrea has published extensively on Egypt, the Arab Uprisings, and Western governments' responses. Andrea is also fellow of the Centre for Civil Society and Rule of Law (CISRUL) and Senior Fellow of the Brussels-based think tank The European Centre for International Affairs (ECIA). He is director of the EU-funded Arab Transformations Project (www.arabtrans.eu).
