Dr Abigail Taylor is a Research Fellow at the City Region Economic Development Institute (City-REDI) at the University of Birmingham. Particular interests include skills, regional and local labour markets, governance structures, and employment support policy. Her research often involves a cross-national focus. Abigail also recently completed an 18-month 50% secondment to the Industrial Strategy Council during which she worked on a range of projects including analysing international examples of regions which have successfully levelled up, and the process behind the development of Local Industrial Strategies.
