Ann Eisenberg is an Assistant Professor at the University of South Carolina School of Law. She was previously the Land Use and Sustainable Development Law Fellow at the West Virginia University College of Law.
Professor Eisenberg's research examines how laws, particularly environmental and criminal decision-making procedures, work in writing versus in practice. Her scholarship draws upon related literature in rural sociology, civil and human rights research, and empirical studies. Her research has appeared or is forthcoming in the Harvard Law and Policy Review, the Pittsburgh Law Review, the Northeastern University Law Review, Environmental Law, and elsewhere.
Professor Eisenberg received her J.D., cum laude, and her B.A. from Cornell University. She received her LL.M. from West Virginia University College of Law. She teaches Water Law, a Sustainable Development Clinic, and Interviewing, Counseling, and Negotiation.
Previously, Professor Eisenberg served in the Peace Corps in Morocco and worked as a staff attorney for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. She is a member of the New York and District of Columbia Bars.
