Laurent Binet joined the School as French Programme Director in October 2017. Prior to Cardiff, he lectured at the universities of Bath, Coventry and Bristol where he was the Language Co-ordinator for French.
He regularly works with the International Baccalaureate and was the chief examiner for French B between 2010 and 2016. Originally a graduate from Sciences-Po Paris and Celsa-Sorbonne, he also worked as a PR consultant and head of press relations for Deloitte in Paris.
Laurent's research focuses on French politics, euroscepticism and the politics of food.
