Haiyun (Melody) Zou is an Assistant Professor of Information Systems and Management at Warwick Business School. She received her PhD from City University of Hong Kong. She also holds an MSc Business Information Systems (Distinction) and a BBA Marketing (First Class Honours) from the same institute. Prior to WBS, she joined an IT entrepreneurial firm in Hong Kong Science and Technology Park and visited Clemson University in the US.
Melody is interested in studying individual technology adoption and usage. In recent years, she is working on promoting user voluntary contributions to technologies - a new concept called "Technology Extra-Role Behavior (TERB)." Her research has appeared in Journal of the Association for Information Systems (JAIS) and International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS), among others. She participated in the ICIS Doctoral Consortium in 2017.
