Research Group Leader, CSIRO
Paul Krummel is the Research Group Leader of the Atmospheric Composition and Chemistry group with CSIRO Oceans and Atmosphere - Climate Science Centre. He is a co-Principal Investigator of the international Advanced Global Atmospheric Gases Experiment (AGAGE). He has been a lead scientist within the Cape Grim Baseline Air pollution Station program since 2004, with responsibilities for the measurement and analysis of carbon dioxide (CO2), non-CO2 greenhouse gases and ozone depleting substances. He specializes in the analysis and research into atmospheric trace species relating to global trends, seasonal cycles, growth rates and emissions of greenhouse and ozone depleting gases. On an annual basis he provides Antarctic ozone “hole” alert information to stakeholders and the public. He is a co-author on more than 100 peer-reviewed research papers in atmospheric chemistry and processes.
