James is a PhD candidate working in Evolutionary Biology. His research goals are to uncover the processes that govern the evolution of gene regulatory networks using a multi-disciplinary approach of experimental microbiology and theoretical predictive algorithms.
Outside of academia, James has garnered experience in science journalism and communication through his time on the editorial team for two science magazines at Imagine/Future Publishing.
