ANN ARBOR, Mich., Sept. 19, 2016 -- Zomedica Pharmaceuticals Corp. (TSX-V:ZOM) ("Zomedica"), a veterinary pharmaceutical company, today announced it has been approved for graduation to Tier 1 issuer status from Tier 2 issuer status by the TSX Venture Exchange (TSXV). Zomedica will commence trading as a Tier 1 issuer on the TSXV at market open.
Tier 1 is the TSXV’s premier tier and is reserved for the TSXV’s most advanced issuers with the most significant financial resources. Tier 1 issuers benefit from decreased filing requirements and improved service standards.
With the graduation to a Tier 1 listing, the remaining 46,452,078 common shares that are currently held in escrow pursuant to the terms of Zomedica’s Escrow Agreements are eligible for release at six-month intervals over a period of 18 months from the completion of Zomedica’s Qualifying Transaction (which occurred in April 2016).
“Our graduation to a Tier 1 listing on the TSXV less than five months following the completion of our Qualifying Transaction and our listing as a Tier 2 issuer is possible thanks to the continued support of our loyal investor base,” said President and CEO Gerald Solensky Jr. “This represents another positive milestone in our continuing development and growth as a public company.”
