LOS ANGELES, Feb. 27, 2017 -- Imperial Capital, LLC ("Imperial") announced that William Wilson has joined the firm as Managing Director, Head of Leveraged Finance in the Investment Banking Group. He is based in New York.
With over 24 years of experience in leveraged finance, Mr. Wilson joins Imperial Capital from Stifel, Nicolaus & Co., Inc., where he served as Managing Director and co-headed the Debt Capital Markets group. He was responsible for a broad range of capital markets activities, including managing a team of professionals who structured and distributed private loans and bonds and directly led the origination efforts for the Energy, Retail and Consumer Products, Gaming, Shipping and Specialty Finance sectors. Prior to Stifel, he was a Managing Director in the Capital Markets Group at CRT Capital LLC. His wealth of career experience includes UBS Securities, Bear Stearns & Co, and Credit Suisse/DLJ with assignments in both New York and London.

Mr. Wilson earned an M.B.A. (with Distinction) from the Thunderbird Global School of Management (a unit of the Arizona State University Knowledge Enterprise) and a M.A. (Honours) from the University of Cambridge where he attended Magdalene College.
