BANGALORE, India, May 01, 2018 -- Webscale, the E-Commerce Cloud Company, is proud to announce that its Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Sonal Puri, has won the Women of the Decade in Technology and Internet Infrastructure award from the Women’s Economic Forum (WEF). The award was given out at the Annual International WEF 2018, which took place from April 26th to May 1st, 2018 in New Delhi, India, and was attended by over 2000 participants from over 120 countries.
A former winner of a silver Stevie Award for Woman of the Year in Technology, as well as CRN’s Top Women of the Channel award, Sonal has more than 20 years of experience in internet infrastructure, holding executive roles across sales, marketing, corporate, business development and channels. Prior to her role at Webscale, Sonal was chief marketing officer at Aryaka Networks, where she led sales, marketing and alliances and helped grow the customer base by more than 1000%, as well as significantly increasing the company’s global presence.

Previously, Sonal headed corporate strategy for Application Acceleration and Western US Corporate Development Akamai Technologies. Sonal also ran global business operations alliances and acquisitions for Speedera Networks and other firms in the internet infrastructure segment. Sonal holds a Master’s degree in Building Science from the University of Southern California, and an undergraduate degree in Architecture from the University of Mumbai, India.
