Kitchener, ON, May 30, 2017 -- Waterloo Brewing, the craft beer division of Brick Brewing Co. Limited (“Brick” or the “Company”) (TSX: BRB), Ontario’s largest Canadian-owned brewery, announced today it will join in the celebration of Oktoberfest with its neighbour, Bingemans.

“Our brewery is located across the road from a K-W institution and our next door neighbour: Bingemans”, said George Croft, President and CEO. “For the last 49 years both residents of the Waterloo Region and tourist visitors from everywhere abroad have enjoyed great events and Oktoberfest at Bingemans and this year we’re starting what we hope becomes a great new tradition. The Oktoberfest Koolhaus at Bingemans will open its doors to more diverse food, music and beers – the way friends and neighbours should be. As a proud local brewer we’ve wanted to participate in Oktoberfest but were never invited to the party,” continued Croft. “So we jumped at the chance when Bingemans asked us to partner with them in bringing a new level of interest and enthusiasm to their Oktoberfest Festhalle. ”
“The tradition of Oktoberfest is part of the fabric and civic pride of Kitchener-Waterloo and we’re so very proud to have been a founder of the festival” said Mark Bingeman, President of Bingemans. “This year’s Oktoberfest celebration will invite all our local friends, neighbouring companies and everyone throughout the province and beyond to celebrate together over a broader range of entertainment and experiences. Waterloo Brewing, for example, is our host beer partner and they’ll be treating our guests to a terrific range of craft beers as well as some surprises brewed especially for our Oktoberfest Festhalle. We’ll honour our roots of Oktoberfest while we add some local Waterloo Region flair.”
