Netflix has renewed the popular series for another run, which means there’s still plenty more from Jack and Mel to come. Based on Robyn Carr's best-selling novels, “Virgin River” has proven to be a smash sensation, with each new season outperforming the previous. So, it comes as no surprise that “Virgin River” Season 6 has already been given the green light.
Mel Monroe, played by Alexandra Breckenridge, is a nurse who relocates from Los Angeles to the tranquil village of “Virgin River” following a series of personal catastrophes. While there, she develops a deep friendship with a local community pillar who is suffering from his own set of difficulties. Here is everything we know so far about the upcoming “Virgin River” Season 6.
‘Virgin River’ Season 6 Release Date
There is no official “Virgin River” Season 6 release date at this time because there are two more episodes to come and production on the imminent sixth installment has yet to begin, per Dexerto. Although fans could ordinarily anticipate when they could see the next chapter of any given show, the writers' and actors' strikes are still in effect, which means production will be delayed forever until a resolution is reached.
‘Virgin River’ Season 6 Cast
Though no official casting details for “Virgin River” Season 6 have been announced, fans may expect to see Alexandra Breckenridge as Mel Monroe and Martin Henderson as Jack Sheridan again. Other stars expected to make a comeback also include Tim Matheson as Dr. Vernon “Doc” Mullins, Annette O’Toole as Hope McCrea, Colin Lawrence as John “Preacher” Middleton, Benjamin Hollingsworth as Dan Brady, Sarah Dugdale as Lizzie, Jenny Cooper as Joey Barnes and Zibby Allen as Brie Sheridan.
Marco Grazzini as Mike Valenzuela, Lauren Hammersley as Charmaine Roberts, Mark Ghanimé as Dr. Cameron Hayek, Kai Bradbury as Denny Cutler, Teryl Rothery as Muriel, Nicola Cavendish as Connie, Stacey Farber as Tara Anderson, Gwynyth Walsh as Jo Ellen, Chase Petriw as Christopher, Barbara Pollard as Melissa Montgomery, Kandyse McClure as Kaia Bryant, and David Cubitt as Calvin are also projected to reappear in the forthcoming “Virgin River” Season 6.
‘Virgin River’ Season 6 Spoilers
There are no official plot specifics for “Virgin River” Season 6 because we have yet to find out what occurs at the end of Season 5, but there are various threads for the tale to pursue and more than 20 volumes to draw from, per The Direct.
Given that there are two more holiday special episodes left in Season 5, it's difficult to predict where the story will go in “Virgin River” Season 6. However, viewers could be seeing what happens when Mel and Jack buy the land where Lilly's farm once stood, and perhaps embark on an adoption journey or choose to live life as the two of them.
In other news, Season 5 Part 1 concluded with Lizzie telling Denny that she might be pregnant. This has come at an inconvenient time for the couple, so depending on what happens in the remaining two episodes, fans may see how this plays out in “Virgin River” Season 6.
