Participating Physicians
David Sutton, MD, is a cofounder of the Northeast Florida Endocrine and Diabetes Association (NEFEDA), the largest private practice endocrine group in the United States. Together, NEFEDA physicians cover seven hospitals in the Jacksonville, Florida, area and manage more than 50,000 patients with diabetes. Dr. Sutton is also Chief of Endocrine at both Baptist Medical Center and St Vincent’s Hospital in Jacksonville. He is an active member of the Endocrine Society and a fellow with the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists. He is also actively involved locally with both the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and the American Diabetes Association. Dr. Sutton earned his doctor of medicine from Wake Forest University and completed his residency at the University of Florida Health and Science Center.
John Sink, PA-C, CDA, is a Physician Assistant at The Jones Center for Diabetes and Endocrine Wellness in Macon, GA. Mr. Sink is a Certified Diabetes Educator (2001) as well as a Clinical Lipid Specialist. He is a Fellow of the AAPA and GAPA and one of the first Physician Assistants accepted as Fellow of the National Lipid Association. He also currently serves as the Treasurer for the American Society of Endocrine PAs and Board Member at large for the Accreditation Council for Clinical Lipidology. Mr. Sink received his undergraduate degree from Macon College and went on to get a Bachelor of Science degree from Georgia College & State University. He graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Physician Assistant from the Medical College of Georgia in 1998.
