LAS VEGAS, March 10, 2017 -- VSiN (Vegas Stats & Information Network), the first multi-channel media network dedicated to sports gambling information, announces that its team of oddsmakers will set the opening lines for this year’s NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship during its Selection Sunday special on Sunday, March 12 beginning at noon PT.
VSiN’s sports gaming experts will unveil the lines and share their insights in front of a live audience, to be broadcast on SiriusXM and streamed on VSiN.com immediately after the matchups are announced. Sports announcing great Brent Musburger will lead the team as VSiN broadcasts from noon to 5 p.m. PT. The Selection Sunday watch party event, located inside the Showroom at the South Point Hotel, Casino and Spa in Las Vegas, is free and open to the public with doors opening at 2 p.m. PT.
“The NCAA tournament is one of the biggest betting events of the year, with close to $295 million wagered in 2016,” said Brian Musburger, founder and chairman of VSiN. “With VSiN’s Selection Sunday broadcast, our team of experts will take college hoops enthusiasts inside the process of setting the line to deliver the actionable information they need to win–whether they’re placing their bets at the South Point or using those insights to take on the ‘VSiN Beat The Spread Challenge.’”
The new network’s first contest, the “2017 VSiN Beat The Spread Challenge,” invites participants to pick the winners of all the Division I men's basketball tournament games against the opening spread. There is no entry fee to play and contestants can enter at www.vsin.com/contest.
First prize for the overall winner is a two-night complimentary stay at South Point Hotel, Casino and Spa, $1,000 and an appearance on Musburger's “My Guys in the Desert” show on SiriusXM. Cash prizes of $250 will be awarded to the top point-getter in Rounds 1, 2 and 3.
“The tourney has to be one of the most exhilarating sporting events of the year and we’re thrilled to offer a much more exciting alternative to the standard office pool with our first contest, the ‘VSiN Beat the Spread Challenge,’” said Brent Musburger, managing editor and lead host of VSiN. “If you thought picking the winners was tough, try doing it against the spread. But don’t worry, my ‘Guys in the Desert’ and I will share all the information and analysis folks need to make the smart picks on our Selection Sunday show. Who knows, maybe you’ll walk away with a few bucks in your pocket.”
Broadcasting daily from a custom-built studio in the South Point Sports Book, VSiN delivers the exclusive and proprietary news, analysis and data that sports bettors and enthusiasts need to win. For the first time, unbiased, actionable information and expert insights are available to sports gamblers across multiple channels, including web, live streaming, radio, mobile and social.
