BOSTON, Feb. 09, 2018 -- Trilio, the leader in data protection and recovery solutions for OpenStack, has been selected as a data protection partner for the Mirantis Cloud Platform (MCP). Launched in 2017, MCP provides a unified open source software solution for bare metal, VMs, and containers across public and private clouds. Trilio’s data protection solution will be made seamlessly available to MCP customers.
“We developed MCP to make it easier than ever to continuously deliver cloud-optimized and cloud-native workloads,” said Dave Van Everen, VP Corporate Marketing, Mirantis. “After working together for a large automotive company in Germany, it was only natural to include Trilio as a data protection partner. Trilio’s best-in-class solution is tenant driven, and empowers enterprises to efficiently and effectively back up their entire cloud, which will provide tremendous value to our customers.”
“Trilio works with companies of all sizes to make sure their applications and clouds are recoverable in one click," said Karl Renneker, Global Head of Channels & Alliances at Trilio. "We're excited to be a part of the MCP ecosystem. This will bring the best of Mirantis' and Trilio's OpenStack technologies to even more businesses. Together, customers and tenants should feel very confident in their resilient and scalable clouds."
To kick off the partnership, Trilio and Mirantis are co-hosting a special webinar on data protection in the cloud. The webinar will focus on how to implement OpenStack for optimal data protection in complex, distributed OpenStack environments; how to simplify the design and implementation of backup and recovery solutions by working with entire environments; and how to identify and recover from potential Openstack failures.
