(TSX-V:TREK) (“Trek Mining” or “the Company”) is pleased to announce that Trek Mining’s shareholders approved all matters voted on at the annual and special meeting held earlier today, including the appointment of KPMG LLP as the Company’s auditor, the Company’s Stock Option Plan, the Restricted Share Unit Plan and the Advance Notice Policy. Advance Notice Policy
The policy will be effective as the Advance Notice Policy of the Company as at and from the date of the Meeting. The purpose of the Advance Notice Policy is to provide shareholders, directors and management of the Company with a clear framework for nominating directors. The Advance Notice Policy fixes a deadline by which shareholders of record must notify the Company of their intention to nominate directors prior to any annual or special meeting at which directors are to be elected, and sets out the information that shareholders must include in the notice for it to be valid. These requirements are intended to provide all shareholders with sufficient time and opportunity to evaluate and review any proposed nominees and vote in an informed and timely manner regarding said nominees.
