You might have felt an urge once in your life; of breaking through, of leaving your troubles behind and getting on to a train to nowhere. Some do try that; leave their job, leave their miseries behind, pack a bag, and just leave to where destiny takes them. Some go hitchhiking across the country, some go near the deep blue sea and gaze longingly into the setting sun; traveling gives you a fresher perspective of life, makes you introspect and think about the things important in life.
Everybody would like to do that; travel far and wide, breathe in sceneries, discover cultures, and live life as it comes. But, pragmatism suggests that is not possible. We get inspired by quotes like, “To travel is to live.” but it is not possible to do it if you do not have enough money in your pocket. Plenty of people have made their dreams a reality; living the life of a wanderer. Be it by foot, on bike, or in an RV for that matter. People have gone on to seek alternative methods of income, mostly which will allow them to work from a remote place and earn money for that. All thanks to the internet, it is a possibility now to do that. There are multiple opportunities which a person could explore to earn an amount, most notably:
1. Travel Blogging- Each place has its own charm; its own uniqueness, an original footprint that it leaves behind on people who visit it. It is not about aesthetics, but how that place makes you feel. One of the reasons travelers love to go to new places is to see freshness and change. You can start a travel blog and write about the places you visit. There are tens of thousands of people who run a travel blog; penning down their thoughts about each place they visit and recounting the journey. You can tell people the easiest ways to get to that place, you can tell them which places to visit when they travel to a state and give them pricing options. After a time, you will gain credibility for your opinions and experiences; you can then start monetizing the blog by accepting advertisements or taking posts from aspiring writers.
2. Assignment Writer- Students around the world need help with their assignments once in a while; that is truer in cases of students who are living in another country for pursuit of higher studies. These students work a part-time job along with their studies; they do not have an option any other than that for their scholarship money isn’t enough to cover their every expense. You can help them out by becoming an assignment writer and charge money for that. There are plenty of websites like ThanksForTheHelp which provide help to students and hire assignment writers who are looking to jump on this bandwagon.
3. Virtual Assistant- If you are all set on traveling the world; you must have worked really hard in life to give yourself a break like that. If you have any level of skill in creative, administerial, or technical background; you can very well use that to earn huge sums of money. Being a virtual assistant requires you to have a phone connection and a laptop to work from. All you have to do is apply to become a virtual assistant online by highlighting your skills and strengths; you are all set to work after that. If you have skills in photography, you can shoot photos and sell them online. If you are a graphic designer, you can take up projects on the road and get them done. If you are a customer service professional, you can apply to a company and help people out with any query they might have with the product of the company.
4. Homework Helper- In a recent report by Time magazine, it was proven that we are overburdening our kids with too much homework. Schools are pushing them to put in as many hours every day as expected of an adult. Many parents realize this, for they get lesser time to spend with their kids. There has been an upsurge in the debate around how much time should we actually take from a kid’s day other than for school-time and extracurricular activities. There have been many schools who have limited the amount of homework given to students each day. This debate has given space to platforms to many companies. They have now started providing services to schools students around the world by helping them with their homework. For example, if a student requires help with an excess of accounting homework; there are many websites like TopAssignmentExperts which exist to help students out. You can apply to become a homework helper to one of these companies and earn money based on how many students you help.
5. Travel Agent- When you are traveling all over the world; gaining new experiences and meeting new people. It only makes sense to monetize the opportunity. If you travel frequently, you can make contacts with hotel owners, guides, and restaurateurs; connecting them and creating a feasible plan that will provide profits. You can become a travel agent and promote yourself to be the best dealmaker in the state. If you have traveled extensively, you will be granted credibility automatically for people know you are a traveler. Any traveler understands the need to spend wisely on journeys; if you have the required experience, you will be able to do well in this job.
6. Volunteering- For this, you will have to check out job opportunities in the place you are at. There are always small jobs available in town, all you have to do is search and find them. There are plenty of places you can volunteer to work for a few days and earn enough to cover your expenses. For example, an event management company might be looking for a volunteer to help them with a celebratory festival going on for three days straight. You can search in the local hotels, bars, and the internet to avail such job opportunities.
