WASHINGTON, Nov. 15, 2016 -- The Phoenix Park Hotel announced the completion of an $8 million renovation to this historic Capitol Hill hotel. The extensive renovation reimagines all of the hotel’s public space including the lobby, front desk, business center, conference space, and all 149 guest rooms and suites. The Phoenix Park is now a standout amongst luxury boutique hotels on Capitol Hill.
The hotel partnered with local architecture and interior design firm //3877 and HITT Contracting to create a crisp modern concept that eloquently embraces a touch of old-world ambiance and charm. Guest rooms and bathrooms are completely renovated in a contemporary style with new hard surface flooring, open closet systems and luxurious king and queen platform beds. Bathroom renovations include new luxury vanities, fixtures, lighted mirrors and tile, as well as the removal of all original bathtubs which were either replaced with modern showers or new tubs. Amenities include 43" HDTV, in-room safe, mini-fridge, a compact movable work table and a comfortable lounge chair. The hotel boasts three sophisticated luxury Penthouse suites and three bi-level suites with custom-made furnishings and deluxe bathrooms. Each suite features a unique design with a variety of additional amenities such as a separate dining room, a study, a gas fireplace and/or terrace. Many suites offer guests a picturesque view of Union Station and the Capitol Building.
