CHICAGO, April 14, 2016 -- The 233 guest suite Homewood Suites by Hilton Downtown Chicago is welcoming guests with a new look and total renovation that includes a completely redesigned lobby, lodge, and meeting and event spaces. Located just one block from the Red Line CTA and the famous Magnificent Mile, this all-suite hotel is a short walk from the free Navy Pier trolley and world-class shopping and dining on Michigan Avenue, as well as the nearby Millennium Park and Museum Campus.
With the $9 million dollar renovation complete, guests are welcomed into this urban oasis where the new lobby features spectacular city skyline views, as well as multi-use areas for work and leisure including a new business center and guest registration. The breakfast area, where complimentary hot breakfast is served to guests, is now an extension of the lobby and features a winged community table as well as traditional seating. Throughout the day and evening the Market offers quick snacks and fresh food for sale. For cozy gatherings, guests will find a two-sided fireplace and a new 55-inch flat screen HDTV.
Each of the hotel’s two-room guest suites have been remodeled with new carpeting, wall coverings, soft goods, plush bedding and artwork and lighting, including back-lit vanity mirrors. The suite’s kitchens have also been upgraded with new cabinets, counter tops and stainless steel appliances. For meetings and events, the 3,000 square feet of meeting space, which includes two meeting rooms, a board room, and the Lodge, has been refreshed with new carpeting, wall coverings, furnishings, artwork, and lighting. The meeting space can comfortably accommodate up to 100 guests. For relaxation, there is a fitness center and indoor rooftop pool with new patio furnishings.
