#SmallBizBigOutcome initiative launches in Lincoln to celebrate businesses and residents doing their part for the local environment
LINCOLN, Neb., March 10, 2016 -- The Berry Company, LLC, proud publisher of the new Windstream Yellow Pages, announced that the 2016 directory, which features local businesses throughout Lincoln, will be delivered this month. In conjunction with the new directory’s release, Berry has teamed up with the Boy Scouts and the City of Lincoln to bring its #SmallBizBigOutcome campaign and annual recycling drive to the Lincoln community.
Berry is encouraging the Lincoln community to recycle their outdated telephone directories as the new directory is delivered. The Cornhusker Council Boy Scouts will collect outdated directories for recycling in many area neighborhoods and from local businesses through April 12, which will help fulfill requirements toward qualification for the World Conservation Award. Outdated directories can also be recycled in curbside bins, if available, or at the 28 public drop-off locations throughout the area provided by the City of Lincoln or local recycling centers such as Recycle Link.
In addition to the recycling drive, Berry announced a new initiative, #SmallBizBigOutcome, which celebrates local businesses and residents that are doing their part to contribute to a more environmentally friendly Lincoln. Berry encourages the Lincoln community to share the unique ways they are reusing, repurposing and recycling and post a photo on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram with #SmallBizBigOutcome and @BerryMeansBiz. Berry will share the photos on its social channels and on SmallBizBigOutcome.com, an online hub dedicated to spotlighting business and residents working to create positive change.
“For years The Berry Company has been dedicated to environmental awareness and sustainability in communities we serve, and we’re grateful to our local partners who help us bring our annual recycling drive to life in Lincoln,” said Laura Cole, Vice President, Marketing, The Berry Company. “We’re proud to champion and inspire other businesses who are helping to protect the local environment through #SmallBizBigOutcome.”
