HUNTINGTON STATION, NY , Jan. 24, 2017 -- Teq is pleased to announce that as of January 1, 2017, Robert Wayne Harris will be promoted to the role of Chief Learning Officer. Harris joined the company in June of 2014 as the Vice President of Professional Development, and since then has helped expand Teq's PD business, while maintaining a customer approval rating of 94% for professional development services.

Harris came to Teq with over 21-years of experience in education, including 5 years teaching, 5 years as a Nassau BOCES administrator, 5 years as the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum of the Freeport Public School District, and nearly 6 years as the CEO and Superintendent of the Roosevelt Union Free School District—the position he held just prior to starting his career with Teq.
In his new role, Harris will work with the sales, customer service, and other teams within Teq to improve their understanding of how schools operate, and how to increase Teq's level of service to these customers. His goal is to improve corporate communication and communication with the customers through industry events, customer visits, and new initiatives like the formation of a customer STEM committee. He will also continue to lead the professional development department, and enhance both the onsite and online PD services offered by Teq.
