Launched in 2015 by Founder and CEO Jennifer Maloney Adab with Managing Partner, Nadia Gillies, Brix quickly gained credibility and valuable market share through its unique brand activations, experiential and traditional PR methods for brands like Equinox, SoulCycle, Herschel, Rolex, PayPal’s TIO Networks, and ACL. With this acquisition, Gillies will maintain her role as Managing Partner at Brix Media and join the Talk Shop office, along with staff.
“Our organizations come together with different backgrounds and skillsets, but share similar cultures and views on how to best approach brands, PR and digital communication challenges - and most importantly growth,” adds Talk Shop Co-Founder, Beth Boyle.
Coming off a record year of growth, Talk Shop had been seeking to build creative capability inside the business prior to this acquisition. To capture additional market share in the highly-competitive industry, Talk Shop saw this deal as an investment into the future of digital and experiential PR.
“The vision for Brix has been centered in designing brand engagement strategies that challenge industry norms and can be deployed across the evolving channels of traditional and digital PR,” said Maloney Adab. “Talk Shop Media has the infrastructure, leadership, resources and talent, to propel this vision forward.”
Final integration plans have not yet been shared. Spring 2018 will mark the official brand unveil.
