The Anime News Network reported that “Sword Art Online: Alicization - War of Underworld” episode 13 has been delayed, which means that its April 25 release date was canceled. The outlet explained that the main reason for the postponement was the coronavirus pandemic that also greatly affected Japan.
With that said, it is clear that “Sword Art Online: Alicization - War of Underworld” episode 13 is currently on hiatus for five months already. This is due to the fact that episode 12 was aired in December last year.

“Sword Art Online: Alicization - War of Underworld” episode 13 has been confirmed to feature the first episode titled “The Great War of the Underworld.” iMDb posted its official plot summary that gives the viewers major clues as to what will happen when the anime returns.
“The ice sniper from Gun Gale Online, Sinon, successfully log-on into Underworld using a super account Solus, the goddess of the sun,” part of the synopsis reads. “The log-in was done to help Asuna and Kirito inside the Underworld against tons of Crimson Army and The Dark Knight.”
It was mentioned that Kirito is set to make his comeback after being “unconscious” for a long time. Asuna also logs in to the underworld as the situation there has turned for worst with thousands of the American players deployed to destroy the underworld and every living creature in it.
Sure enough, Asuna’s arrival in the underworld is meant to help the Human Empire get their territory back, destroy the invaders and protect the Human Empire in “Sword Art Online: Alicization - War of Underworld” episode 13. Kirito’s arrival is very timing, as this is like the ultimate battle that will seal Alice’s and their enemies’ faith.
